I heard a Spanish person the other day refer to themselves as Latina. It really upset me. They are not Latinos, they are the conquerors, and they shouldn’t be allowed to call themselves Latino. The only similarity is the language we speak. And I told her this and she responded that she is from Spain which speaks Spanish which was derived from Latin, so she was in fact Latina. Was she right? If she was right then we need another word describing our race because over my dead body do the white people who came and stole land, and do al the shit they do best get to come back and call themselves one of us…..
I love mixed people so much…
But not for the reason most people like mixed people. It isn’t because I think they are so beautiful, even though many of them are, I mean I think non mixed people are just as gorgeous it all depends on the person of course. But I love mixed people because they embody what is so important to me about society, race, and culture. Mixed people are symbols of two different people, possibly despite of everything their family, society, and culture has told them not to do, and made love to create another human. To me, having mixed children is like wearing a sign on your back saying “Fuck Racism.” For real. I am mixed, and I cannot wait to have a beautiful black baby girl.
Whats wrong with us colored girls?
I just want to know why so many white men are not interested in us? I know there are those white guys that love black and brown girls, GOOD FOR YOU GUYS!!! But whats up with most of them just not being interested? I grew up in an all white school, I never got asked to dances or ever had anyone like me. I thought I was the ugliest girl around. I didn’t start to feel pretty until I moved on to college and started getting attention from other men, all who happened to be latino or black. Now I love me a darker skinned man, do not get me wrong, but I do wonder what makes white women so much more appealing to white men then women of other colors? I don’t see brown and black guys doing that…they will talk to any girl. Mind you, I am being totally stereotypical, because I know there are exceptions in all these cases, but in MY EXPERIENCE, this is what I have found. Anyone know why?
